Countering Cultural Destruction

Roger Westlin wrote this book for a reason. Likely, if you are reading this, you are doing so for the same reason—concern over what you see happening to our nation. Since the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, with the George Floyd/Black Lives Matter riots, the insinuation of cancel culture, censorship, efforts to defund police, Critical Race Theory, and the popularization of LGBQT and WOKE identity politics, one would have to be blind and deaf to not sense that something was seriously amiss in our society.

What we are witnessing is nothing less than cultural destruction on an unprecedented scale, and the result has been a polarization of the political left and right; a divisiveness not witnessed in our country since the Civil War. The situation has fostered an extremism and lack of tolerance at both ends of the political spectrum that threatens to destroy our liberal Democratic Republic, at the same time begging the question: How has it come to this? It is to this question that Westlin, in the articles contained in this book, brings his considerable investigatory skill to bear...

THE CAUSE OF WAR – by Roger Westlin

There is a basic principle involved in war. Clausewitz[1] said war is an extension of politics by other means. I don’t see how that is useful. Practically, war occurs when you have conflict that doesn’t resolve with communication. Politics can come into play, but that...

Roger Westlin

Now in his 70’s, Roger Westlin is the son of a World War II veteran who fought in the European theatre and had a hand in taking down Hitler’s country home. Though not one himself, as a very young boy he lived in several orphanages, where he saw a harder side of life. Like most baby-boomers, Roger grew up verypatriotic. As soon as he was old enough he became an avid Boy Scout, achieving the rank of  “Life”, just below “Eagle.” An art major in college, when duty called he enlisted in the military, and it was upon discharge that he embarked on his career as a troubleshooter. In that capacity Roger handled problems for many clients, ranging from Hollywood types and big business to governments, military, and those concerned with drug corruption wars. Throughout all this he kept his hand in education, finding a purpose in trying to improve that experience for others. His entire adult life has been spent in efforts to make this world a safer and better place than how he found it.

Mark Arnold

Mark Arnold, born in 1951 in Minneapolis and raised in a south Seattle suburb, grew up with a deep passion for sports, idolizing legends like Johnny Unitas and Hank Aaron. His athletic prowess, particularly in basketball, flourished during his youth, leading him to immerse himself in Seattle’s vibrant sports culture. In the late 1960s, while studying at the University of Washington, Mark became actively involved in the New Left politics and anti-war movements. However, disillusioned with the direction of the movement by 1972, he left both college and politics behind, embarking on a journey of spiritual discovery. For nearly five decades, Mark has dedicated his life to helping others achieve spiritual awareness and personal growth, while also delving into history, politics, and philosophy to understand and address the challenges facing the United States. Mark seeks to inspire others to join him in the ongoing struggle to preserve and restore Human Rights for all people, believing that this is crucial to achieving true peace on Earth.
